Figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva starred in the TV series The Last Axel

General producer of the series The Last Axel Kateryna Laskari spoke about working with two-time world champion Evgenia Medvedeva.

Medvedeva played a small cameo role in The Last Axel. The producers wanted to give the skater more screen time, but her busy schedule did not coincide with filming.

– I had to reduce the appearance of Eugene to a bright flash. But fans will still see her in the movies. And most importantly, Zhenya can follow the acting path. I saw on the set how she wanted it: her eyes were burning, she prepared carefully, learned the texts. It was clear that Zhenya was interested in this road. Athletes have a big problem: they cannot find themselves after the end of their careers, only coaching. I hope we helped Zhenya to decide on her future profession.
